The challenge they faced
The Cherokee Nation has officially broken ground on a cutting-edge emergency response center in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Spanning 61,500 square feet, this state-of-the-art facility houses essential services, including new offices, a dispatch center, a fire department, a public safety department, an emergency management operations center, an EMT training space, general training and conference areas, and secured parking.
Designed to operate 24/7, the center will serve as a vital hub for the Cherokee Nation community, supporting over 90 employees dedicated to public safety and emergency response. This project represents a significant impact and enhancing the Nation's ability to protect and serve its citizens with expanded and modernized operations.
