Project Description
The current Paul Laurence Dunbar Early Education Center has long served as a pre-k school for Texarkana ISD. However, the new state-of-the-art Dunbar Early Education Center will accommodate more than 600 students, offering an immersive and interactive learning environment that resembles a children’s museum rather than a traditional classroom. This cutting-edge facility heralds a new era of early childhood education in the region. TISD Superintendent Doug Brubaker expressed his excitement about securing the new site for the new pre-k center, noting the necessity for increased capacity. The new location will prove twice the space of the existing Dunbar site, meeting the growing needs of the community.
