As Chief Security Officer, Gale Moericke leads the firm’s strategic security initiatives and helps shape the future of comprehensive safety and risk-mitigation solutions in an increasingly complex threat landscape. In this role, Gale focuses on enhancing CRUX’s security offerings—drawing from his extensive history of directing both physical and information security strategies that protect people, facilities, and critical data across diverse environments.
With more than 35 years of experience as an information technology practitioner and business leader, Gale brings a unique owner’s perspective to every engagement, blending strategic vision with practical execution. His deep expertise in infrastructure, security consulting, and project leadership enables CRUX’s clients to confidently navigate risk, adopt forward-looking safety technologies, and achieve resilient operational environments.
One of the most important projects Gale worked on with CRUX came as a result of the Covid pandemic. He and his team consulted with various Texas school districts to help them evaluate both the feasibility and budgetary requirements for creating private LTE networks. The goal was to enable students who did not have appropriate internet service to learn from home. He and his team explored strategic drivers, created LTE network simulations and budgets for major alternate approaches that would set up these districts to best empower their students.
Gale holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Texas at Arlington and has served on the boards of the American Red Cross and the Mansfield Independent School District. Gale holds his Security Industry Cybersecurity Certification from SIA and his Certified Information Security Manager Certification from ISACA. He is also active in the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the Society for Information Management. In addition to his CSO responsibilities, he continues to serve on CRUX’s Board of Directors, ensuring his deep institutional knowledge supports the firm’s strategic direction.
