Summary of position
The BIM Manager is responsible for governance, execution, and continuous improvement of BIM processes across all projects involving technology systems such as structured cabling, AV, and physical security. This role leads the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of BIM processes across all CRUX projects, driving efficiency, automation, and consistency through advanced use of Autodesk platforms and custom workflows.
Essential duties & responsibilities
- Develop, publish, and enforce company BIM standards; maintain templates, family libraries, and project setup protocols.
- Define and enforce LOD standards, naming conventions, model structuring, and data requirements; lead BIM Execution Plan (BEP) creation and alignment between model and 2D deliverables.
- Oversee project model quality with clash-free, constructable models aligned to installation best practices.
- Manage Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo, and Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms.
- Lead BIM QA/QC across multiple design teams.
- Train and manage BIM staff.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants on BIM efforts and developments.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce project risk.
Qualifications
- 7+ years BIM experience required.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required.
- Working knowledge of Dynamo required.
- Autodesk Construction Cloud experience preferred.
- Revit certification and 3+ years leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with Division 27/28 systems and ArchiCAD interoperability preferred.
Work environment & travel
Primarily a hybrid office environment. Travel is primarily local during the business day, with some out-of-area and overnight travel expected. Reports to the Vice President. FLSA status: Exempt.
